INFLUENCE OF BESTIM AND BETALEUKIN ON THE IMMUNOLOGICAL STATE OF PATIENTS WITH SECONDARY IMMUNODEFICIENCY DURING VACCINATION AGAINST TYPE B VIRAL HEPATITIS

N.N. Abramova, A.S. Simbirtsev, I.I. Dolgushin

Influence of Bestim (synthetic dipeptide g-Glu-Trp) and Betaleukin (recombinant human interleukin-1b) on immunological state of patients with secondary immunodeficiency (SID) resulted from chronic infectious syndrome (CIS) during vaccination against viral hepatitis B (VHB) one month after the first dose of Endgerics B vaccine was investigated in a comparative study. Immunological abnormalities in patients with SID, CIS are characterized by reduction of absolute and relative quantity of mature T suppressor cells and imbalance of T lymphocyte subpopulations, suppression of neutrophil activity. Injection of single VHB vaccine dose in patients with SID induced further suppression of cellular immunity and neutrophil activity, and led to less activation of humoral immunity than in healthy person. Bestim and Betaleukin increased the number of mature T lymphocytes in blood, the CD4/CD8 value, and diminished negative influence of VHB vaccine on neutrophil activity. Betaleukin increased absolute amount of blood neutrophils. It is expected that modern immunomodulating agents (Bestim and Betaleukin) would improve the immunological safety of hepatitis B virus vaccine and increase the efficacy of vaccination against viral hepatitis B in patients with SID and CIS.
