SERUM LEVELS OF INTERCELLULAR ADHESION SOLUBLE MOLECULES IN UROGENITAL CHLAMYDIOSIS
N.I. Egorova, G.Yu. Kurnikov, A.A. Babayev, V.V. Novikov
Serum levels of soluble forms (s-forms) of membrane antigens ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-3 (CD50), CD18, CD38, and dimeric forms of sICAM-1 and sCD38 were evaluated by ELISA metod in patients with urogenital chlamydiosis (UGCh). Significant increase of soluble adhesion molecules CD50 and CD54 and their soluble ligand CD18 (integrin b2 chain) in UGCh was accompaned by the features of their disproportion. The increase of serum concentration of CD38 antigen was found in UGCh as well. However, the change of the level of dimeric part of this protein was only significant. The results obtained suggested that soluble adhesion antigens ICAM-1, ICAM-3, CD18, CD38 possibly play an immunopathogenetic role in mechanisms of development of chlamydiae infection.
Keywords: urogenital chlamydiosis, soluble form of ICAM-1, soluble form of ICAM-3, soluble form of CD18, soluble form of CD38.
