IMMUNOCORRECTION IN RECURRENT YERSINIA PSEUDOTUBERCULOSIS INFECTION IN CHILDREN
S.N. Beniova, E.V. Markelova
In order to investigate the changes in cytokines levels (IL-2, IL-4, IL-8, IFNg) during Y. pseudotuberculosis infection in children, 54 patients with this infection were examined. The results revealed the hypercytokinemia with disorders in pro- and anti-inflammatory pools ratio, which proved the presence of cell-mediated immunodeficiency. The results of treatment of patients with recurrent infection using recombinant interleukin-2 (RoncoleukinR) are discussed. (Cytokines and Inflammation, 2003, Vol. 2, № 3, P. 13-17)
Keywords: immunity, cytokines, infection, RoncoleukinR.
