PECULIARITIES OF ACTIVATION POTENTIAL OF NEUTROPHIL GRANULOCYTES' NUCLEI IN NORMAL AND PATHOLOGIC CONDITIONS

I.V. Nesterova, A.A. Evglevskiy, E.V. Fomicheva, V.V. Parfenov

The chromatin activity of resting and S. aureus activated peripheral blood neutrophils' nuclei of healthy persons and patients with duodenal ulcer undergoing surgical treatment was studied using polarization microscopy after cell staining with toluidine blue (pH 5.0). In healthy donors of control group, the degree of neutrophils' nuclei activation depended on the dose of S. aureus: the higher was the dose of S. aureus the higher was the degree of nuclei activation. In patients with duodenal ulcer complicated with stenosis, the resting neutrophils contained "spontaneously" activated nuclei; the degree of their activation increased further after surgery and declined thereafter towards pre-operation level however not reaching the level of healthy group.
