ELEVATED LEVELS OF SOLUBLE CD50 (ICAM-3), CD95 (FAS) ANTIGENS AND HLA CLASS I MOLECULES IN VIRAL HEPATITIS A

I.V. Evsegneeva, E.A. Manakova, V.V. Novikov, A.V. Karaulov

The level of soluble CD50 (ICAM-3) and CD95 (Fas) antigens and HLA class I molecules in serum of patients with manifestative and inapparent forms of viral hepatitis A has been determined by ELISA. A multifold statistically significant increase of soluble antigens level exceeding the level of these antigens in viral hepatitis B and C was revealed. At convalescence the serum level of soluble CD95 antigen was normal while the contents of soluble CD50 antigen and HLA class I molecules remained elevated. It is suggested that high levels of aforesaid soluble antigens in viral hepatitis A reflect the tension of immune response which leads to comparatively quick and effective elimination of viral agent.
